Got a question?

What does the extension do?
It turns passive reading into active research. You can highlight text on web pages and PDFs, add quick notes, and review everything in a clean side panel. Highlights stay right where you found them, so you keep context and build a personal knowledge base directly in your browser.
Is it free to use?
Yes. All core features—highlighting, notes, side panel, and exports—are free. Our goal is to make active reading simple and accessible, without paywalls or accounts. If we add optional advanced features later, the basics you rely on today will remain free.
Where is my data stored?
On your device only. Highlights and notes live in your browser’s local storage; we don’t run servers for your data and don’t collect personal information. That means full privacy by design and offline access to previously loaded pages—no syncing required, no background uploads.
How do I get started?
Select any text; a small icon appears—click to highlight. Click a highlight to add a note. Open the side panel to see all annotations on the page, jump between them, or edit. It takes seconds to learn and works with your existing reading flow.
Can I export or move my notes?
Yes. Export annotations from a page to Markdown (great for Obsidian/Notion), HTML (keeps structure for the web), or plain text (maximum compatibility). Exports make it easy to share, back up, or paste findings into reports, study notes, and writing drafts.
Will it work on every website?
It works on most sites with standard text. Very complex web apps or unusual layouts can limit highlighting. If something looks off, tell us which page—improving coverage is ongoing. For typical articles, docs, blogs, and PDFs, you should be good to go.
